Karen Hansen

As Founder and Principal of in.design, Karen leads with passion, creativity, and impeccable attention to detail. Her focus, determination, and strategic thinking have served her well as both a leader and as an award-winning designer. Over the last two decades, Karen has helped build a diverse and successful design team, focused on personal relationships and maintaining a “fun factor”. In addition to overseeing global design strategies and business development, Karen works closely with the design team to ensure they push the boundaries while generating user-focused design solutions.

Karen’s greatest strength is inspiration, which she strives to impart on others. She believes in living life to the fullest, accepting challenges, and learning from the array of experiences life has to offer.  In addition to being a designer and entrepreneur, Karen is also a protective mother, who takes great pride in her family, friends, and the professional friendships she has developed and maintained through more than two decades in the industry. When she’s not changing the world, Karen enjoys killer workouts, beach days, wine and all things (dark) chocolate.
