Alejandro Estrada is an interior designer, a board member of the South Florida chapter of IIDA, a board member of the IIDA FIU Student Center, a business owner, a coffee aficionado, and wine connoisseur. He received his AA degree in Interior Design from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale which led him to work for HGTV personality, Krista Watterworth in Palm Beach, Florida. After this experience, he decided to further his education at FIU and obtain his master’s degree in Interior Architecture. He also recently completed a certificate program in Cruise Ship and Super Yacht Design.
Alejandro, through his former position at Pradere Office, has been fortunate enough to have worked on design projects with Miami Dade College, the University of Miami, and Leon Medical Centers. Alejandro is currently a LAMP student mentor at FIU, a Design Mix 2021 committee member, and a committee member for the 34th edition of the Festival of the Trees event.
He uses his witty and spontaneous sense of humor (and sometimes a strong cafecito) to show his clients that, while a design project can be stressful, there is nothing a good joke, a margarita, and American Express can’t fix.
He has always cared more about his client’s wellbeing and satisfaction than hoping to get rich off one project, which earned him a reputation of being honest, trustworthy, selfless, and sometimes too generous - but American Express isn’t complaining about that last one.
When he is not working in his home office, which is rare, designing, or attending board and committee meetings, he can be found having a “tinto” – Colombian coffee, black-no sugar, or relaxing in his patio with a generous glass of red wine, a Sangiovese to be exact.
